The Ranco Rocket RSW Hard Starts provide a Rocket Boost to your compressor. The compressor on you Air Conditioner system consumes its most power during start up. During the startup process the compressor uses ten times more power than it uses while running. This causes the compressor to consume more energy during this time which results in higher electricity usage. A compressor may start up more than 6,000 times during a regular summer season. This can cause harm to your compressor and A/C system electrical components.
